For artists and acts

Your look, on whatever rig is hanging.

A different room every night, and no designer on the bus. Make your Style once — your colours, how big you go, how much you flash, how your faces are lit — and it runs on any venue’s rig that has Vaib, inside that venue’s limits.

Free beta, open now. Mac first, Windows in about a month. A year free after launch for testers.

Your Style

The look of your night, in one sheet.

Pick your colours or let Vaib choose from the music. Set the energy range, how often it may flash, how faces are lit — mellow, bright, hard, silhouettes — and your genre and vibe. Decide what stays on in the quiet parts, and whether a long breakdown should stay calm instead of building back early.

  • Export it as a passport file
  • Import it at the next venue
  • It can never flash more than the venue allows
The Style editor making “Night Drive tour”: two colours, an energy range of 30–80%, flashing now and then, faces bright, genre Indie, vibe Dreamy, and what stays on in the quiet parts.

Plain words

Ask Vaib for what you want.

Type “warmer and calmer, the choir starts a slow piece”, or “the bar follows the stage at 40%”. Vaib proposes the changes — from what to what — and shows them on screen while the lights keep tonight’s look. Untick what you do not want, apply the rest as one step, or revert.

  • Runs on the laptop — nothing leaves it
  • Exact commands answered at once
  • Can lower a limit, never raise one
Ask Vaib open over the church view: the request “warmer and calmer, the choir starts a slow piece”, four ticked changes from and to — audience max, genre, energy, colours — and Apply 4 changes or Revert.

Your songs

It knows your drops before they land.

Give Vaib a folder of your tracks and it learns them on the laptop: their bars, sections, drops and energy. When one plays, it recognises it by ear within a couple of seconds and counts the next drop down — “drop in 4 bars”, then “drop now” — so the lights arrive with the music, not after it.

  • Offline, from your own files
  • No beat-gridding, no cue list
  • Songs it has not learned are still lit live

Built-in looks

Or start from one that is already right.

Rock night, Jazz and dinner, Choir and classical, Club peak, and Pipes — made for one long, slow performance where only one side moves while the rest holds. Duplicate any of them and make it yours.

What else is in it for a performer

Faces stay lit

Lights doing the Faces job hold the performers in light while the rest of the rig moves.

Quiet means quiet

Intros and breakdowns fade with the look — never a cut — and come back with the music.

A phone on stage

Paired as a Performer, a phone gets Blackout, the safe scene and master — nothing it can mess up mid-song.

Talking between songs

Vaib hears speech and holds a steady look; it does not treat a story as a song.

Questions

What people in your seat ask.

Something not here? Email us — a person replies.

Does the venue need Vaib too?
Yes — the venue’s rig is patched and signed off in their Vaib. You bring your Style as a file and they import it, or you run your own laptop at the desk with their permission.
Can my Style make the lights unsafe?
No. A Style steers inside the venue’s limits. If the venue caps flashing or switches strobe off, your Style is held to that, whatever it says.
I do one long piece, not songs. Will it work?
Yes. The built-in Pipes Style was made for a beatless performance: mostly still, one side moving while the rest holds, changes fading slowly, and only the background on in the quiet parts.
Is my music uploaded anywhere?
No. Known songs are analysed on the laptop from your own files. Nothing is sent unless you choose to look a song up online, which is a separate, opt-in step.
